Charity Jolivette is a multidisciplinary artist, actress, and film photographer of Creole and African-American heritage. Charity honed her artistic skills at Parsons School of Design, and later studied acting and performance at the William Esper Studio in New York City, where she lived for five years before making Los Angeles her home.
Charity's photographic work is exclusively film-based, capturing the essence of her subjects in natural light and often integrating elements of nature. Her art is distinguished by its intentional focus on celebrating the beauty and diversity of Black humanity, which is often underrepresented in art and media.
However, more recently, her artistic practice has expanded to explore more abstract concepts, reflecting her ever-evolving creative vision. Her work has been featured in multiple art galleries in Los Angeles, including Superchief Gallery, LA Tate Gallery, and Mile 44.
Charity's most recent published project includes photography and art direction for Rollacoaster Magazine’s Spring/Summer 2021 issue.
